Omakase Counter - Gili Trawangan

Hidden within Cocana Resort on Gili Trawangan, Sensei Ikan is a 10-seat omakase counter serving 11 courses of Japanese craft with Indonesian fish. After the last plate, the records come on and the night slips into Nomikai under hanging lanterns and deep neon.

A place for those

who know to ask.

CONCEPT & STORY

Omakase at the counter first, then Nomikai when the room is ready, and the night becomes its own.

The chef leads guests through an 11-course tasting menu, from opening bites through sashimi, soup and Wagyu to dessert. Every plate is set down by hand, in order, in front of the guest who will eat it.

CUISINE

The omakase follows the catch: Indonesian fish, nigiri and grilled courses, shaped by Japanese technique.

Each course reflects respect for the fish, the craft, and the moment it reaches the plate. The cooking is precise and generous, with the ingredient leading and the technique following.
